Because Christ is the Only Foundation!

WELCOME!You are probably here because you received one of our gospel tracts. Or, you may have just stumbled upon this part of our Website. I don't believe you are here by accident: God directed you here. I have a question for you to consider: If you were to die tonight, would you be 50%, 75% or 100% sure you would go to heaven? Did you know that the Bible says that you can know 100% for sure that you are going to heaven? The Bible says: "Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:12-13)
In order to have eternal life, you must understand...
1) Your sin separates you from God. God is Holy and pure. He can't allow sin into His presence. The Bible says "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (1 John 1:8) Have you ever lied before? If so you have broken the ninth commandment. Have you ever stolen anything, even something that you thought was insignificant? You have broken the eighth commandment. Have you ever been greedy? Then you have broken the tenth commandment. Have you ever made up your own set of beliefs about God? Then you are guilty of idolatry and have broken the first and second commandments. Even your thoughts can be sinful. Jesus said that if you look at someone with lust, you have committed adultery with them already. (Matthew 5:27-28) The Bible says, "For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it." (James 2:10)
2) Sin has a penalty...eternal separation from God. The Bible says, "But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." (James 1:14-15) Since God is holy and just, He must punish sin. If He didn't, it would go against His character. If you die in your sins, then you will be forever separated from God in a place called Hell. It is a place of eternal torment. God, being perfectly just has no choice but to punish those who have rebelled against his authority.
3) The good news is that God loves you and sent His Son Jesus to take the punishment for your sin. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:16-17) Jesus was perfect and never sinned, yet He went to the cross to pay for the sins of the world. He took your place and your punishment. Through faith in Him alone, you can avoid Hell. The Bible says, "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2nd Corinthians 5:21)
4) You must repent of your sin and put your faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord..." (Acts 3:19 NKJV) To repent means to change the direction of your life. Stop pursuing sin and start pursuing God in obedience. Are you willing to turn away from your sin and trust Jesus today?
A prayer for salvation: Dear God, I am a sinner and I have broken your laws. I confess my sin to you and forsake it. Take control of my life Lord and help me live in obedience to you. Thank you for forgiving me and saving me. In Jesus name, AMEN.
As a follower of Christ, there are some essential things that you should do in order to grow in your faith. One of the main things is to get involved in a church that teaches and preaches the Bible. To find a church near you, click here...
You should talk to God daily in prayer, read the Bible, and tell others about Jesus. I would like to help you with becoming a disciple of Christ. Please e-mail me and let me know that you have put your faith in Jesus Christ. E-mail darrel at onlyfoundation dot org.
