Colombia 2004
Here are some pictures from the January 2004 mission to Cartagena Colombia where Darrel and a team from Illinois Baptist College worked with the internal refugees of Colombia.
Typical living conditions in the poor barrios around Cartagena. Many people have fled here to get away from the rebel activity taking place in other parts of the country.
Many beautiful children in the barrios need Jesus. Here are a few that heard the gospel during one of our meetings.
The fisherman sitting on the bed prayed to receive Jesus after Jose Luis (man standing) and I shared the good news with him in his home.
Darrel preaches from John 3:16 in the final afternoon service. Many of these people received Christ during the invitation.

All total, the team saw about 450 people trust Christ as Lord and Savior and planted two new churches. Todo Gloria a Dios! (All glory to God!) We could never have done this work without the IMB missionaries who serve on the field in Colombia. May God bless, Brian, Kay, Joy, Melissa, Katie, and all others who serve in this harvest field.
